Welcome to the new case release.
We have packaged up a new focus on getting contractors started on the activity they have arrived on site. It should make it quick, clear and safe. There are also a big set of meatures and improvements that should make it easier for you when you’re using Case. Here’s a run through of what’s new and changed
After you sign in to site and check the hazards, you will arrive at the Activity screen. You can so straight into the activity to complete your prestart forms.
You must tap start on the activity to start it and populate your hazards. Before, Case would start your activities for you when it was scheduled, now you need to do that. This keep make the hazards the posted site hazards relevant. And remember to complete the activity when you’re finished on site.
Prestart Form Reminders
If your organisation has started and activity we’ll put a little green light on the activities tab icon and against the activities tab. When there’s a prestart form associated with that activity we’ll make those little dots red to remind you to complete it and think about how you’re keeping yourself and your colleagues safe.
Do a new form when the conditions change
We’ve added the ability to do another copy of the form. So if you come back to continue work- of the conditions change while you’re working- you can open your activity and complete a new form. This’ll help you check in and think about what you need to take care of to keep yourself and your colleagues safe.
Just tap on the activity and you’ll see the blue Create new Form button
Started another form by accident? Contact your Site Manager or Case Coach and they’ll be able to remove it for you.
Access Documents from the App
Case has always held documents in the web console for administrators to check on. Now these can be accessed from the app to. Need to check your safety plan? Or that of another team working on site? Tap More -> Files and if the document’s in case you can download a copy.
See what else is happening on site
In your activities tab you get a list of all of the activities for your organisation on site. Now you have an option to tap all and you’ll see all activities that are currently running on site, as well as what’s already been completed.
And made it ease for a site manager to see what’s happening when they arrive on site. If you are part of the organisation that owns the location, you’ll be able to see all forms (complete or incomplete) in More-> Location Forms
Close a hazard if its not relevant
If you start an activity and that creates a hazard that’s not relevant for the site, you can close it. Just tap on the hazard and you’ll see the switch. If you’re part of the organisation that owns the location you can close a hazard too.
Group site visitors by Organisation
If you go to the Info tab in the app, it shows who’s on site. Now the list is grouped by who they are working for, making it easier to see who is doing what. And who’s not signed in.
Find the Organisation PIN in the app
If you have someone new joining you on site, as well as registering in the app, they need to be joined to your organisation. Now you don’t have to do a ring around to find the PIN, you can give it to them by tapping on the user icon in the top right and selecting Organisations.
Reopen an Activity
Hit complete activity by accident? Of need to go back for something? You can go back into the activity in the all list and reopen it, if that activity was assigned to your organisation, or your organisation owns the location.
We have a lot more in the works. If you have something you want to suggest, we’d love to hear it contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
